If all is great as you speak then negative oil sensor. Does light come on at idle or while car is to run at speed or both?

Just bought a 2009 Chevy Impala around a month ago, 70k miles and also only 1 vault owner. About 2 weeks of driving ns am getting "Oil press Low, prevent Engine" warning on my dash. Immediately stopped in ~ an progressed Auto and also the guy said whatever looked good, engine sound good, oil level were great and oil wasn"t dirty. I"m still getting the warning over 2 weeks later but no sounds coming from the engine and it drives just fine. Sometimes it doesnt show up because that days then part days it no shut up. Although I doubt the oil push sending unit is defective - you may additionally have the following troubles from the previous owner (recent purchase):The not correct viscosity oil was used in the engine. 5-W-30 oil is specified and there is no an easy means to examine the oil viscosity without changing it.Clogged and/or not correct engine oil filter. What kind of oil filter is top top the car. Is that correct, also though it may be a aftermarket type? various oil filters have different internal oil pressure specifications. One aftermarket filter can look "okay" (same dimension as the Delco) but not have the exactly operating press specification.I would readjust the oil and filter through the exactly Delco oil filter. If the warning stubborn - then readjust the oil push sending unit. A special oil filter socket is necessary to adjust the unit ~ above GM vehicles.
