CVT fluid capacity
I am planning on simply doing a drain and refill on mine 08 altima CVT and also was wondering if someone can tell me just how much fluid I would need for simply a drain and also refill, not total capacity. V the price the the oil ns don"t want to purchase much an ext than needed.thanks,Cory
my hands-on says to adjust it at 60,000 miles, I have 40,000 top top mine now so I number I could just perform a drain and refill a little early instead of waiting till 60,000 and paying the echathamtownfc.nettra echathamtownfc.netpense at the dealer to do a finish flush, although friend are probably right, execute to the fact it probably doesn"t really need it. I have heard people say to wait until 100,000 and then readjust it, so who knows. I"ll probably try and trade it prior to the 7yr/100,000 mile warranty is up anyway,( although the way my finances are right now I might have that for quite a while) yet hopefully if ns take care of that the nechathamtownfc.nett male won"t have to address problems brought about by my negligence. yeah, I currently have a quart that the NS-2 fluid, yet a great point, since I"m sure there space a couple of people who might not understand that that takes a various fluid climate a continuous automatic.

My 08 Altima began jerking and also had a slight suspicion on take off, plus I might hear a high pitched whinning sound at 60+ MPH. So ns took it right into my Nissan dealer. They looked in ~ the infectious diseases worldwide fluid and reported come me the it had,had the wrong type of fluid added because it"s claimed to be green. They stated mine looked reddish. I experienced it and it looked more clearish brown color to me.A sample was taken and saved. The car has simply over 30K ~ above it. The dealer said it would certainly void mine warranty. They readjusted the fluid and now for the past few hundred miles it seems to be fine, but the dealer claimed it could still go out and also a instead of is $7000.00. I had a fender bender in it a year earlier and the human body shop replaced the trans cooler, they have actually records mirroring they changed 1/2 of a quart that Nissan CVT fluid . Other than that only Nissan has actually done the maintance on the car and several times because the accident.I think the transmission might have shed the fluid to cause it to adjust colors. Has actually anyone had a comparable echathamtownfc.netperience
